Become a Non-Skating Official
Don’t want to skate but would still like to be involved? A Non-Skating Official job may be just what you’re after. NSO’s help us run bouts, keep score, time penalties and record statistics.
GBRD is looking for some committed non-skating officials to work with us at our home games in 2016. No previous experience required. If you are interested in becoming an NSO, please let us know! email firstname.lastname@example.org
Become a Referee!
We are also looking for committed referees (aka Zebras) to help us during both our practices and our bouts. Referees are volunteer skaters who work together to implement the rules fairly and consistently creating a safe roller derby environment for scrimmages and bouts. We are looking for quad or inline skaters 19 and older to join our league. It a great chance to get skating and have fun. Shoot us an email at: email@example.com
Become a Trainer
Do you have a background in coaching, fitness, yoga, figure skating, power skating, hockey, cross-fit, kinesiology or sports psychology? We can use your help on skates or off-skates!

Other Volunteer Opportunities
Running a derby event is an awful lot of hard work. We can always use volunteers to help set up and clean up, to run concessions or manage sound systems, announce our games and much more! If you want to save the cost of a derby event ticket and put some time in with us before, during, or after an event you’ll be rewarded with lots of derby love! Watch for our requests for volunteers on this website or on our GBRD Facebook page. Or contact email@example.com
Grey Bruce Roller Derby is a not-for-profit league. We’re a hard-working bunch, but we can’t do it all by ourselves. In order for us to continue to keep roller derby in the Grey Bruce area, we’re going to need your help. You can sponsor a bout or the ‘sin bin’ and more. We’re looking for sponsorship for printed materials like posters and event tickets too!
